Wild Frontier’s Christmas Dance

On Friday 19th December we had our Christmas break-up dance, no more Friday night dancing until 2009. The committee did a great job decorating the hall it looked very festive with balloons, Santas, Christmas tree, lights and other festive decorations.
The dance was well attended; more than 70 people arrived to wind up a thoroughly stimulating year of square dancing. After the usual 1 – hour of plus dancing/workshop we all settled back to more relaxed mainstream brackets.
Jeff Rocks?
Jeff called the children’s favourite, the birdie dance – could be a show stopper if modified into a mainstream call. It was also nice to see Jeff sitting on Santa’s knee, telling him what he wanted for Christmas (I think it unlikely that he got what he wanted because he has not been good all year).
Poor Santa what a weight he has to carry
The kitchen was a hive of activity through the night, countless bottles of cordial, cups of coffee / tea and many tables loaded with festive fare were consumed by the throng. Our thanks go out to those that contributed to the festive fair and those who did penance in the kitchen, especially those who cleaned up afterwards.
The committee hopes everyone out there has had a great Christmas and we hope to see you on Wednesday 31st December for our New Years Eve dance. If you plan to attend, please, bring your own chair, food and alcoholic or other chosen beverage (tea coffee and water will be provided).
There will be lots of raffles drawn that night, some fun dancing and time to have a good chin wag with your friends. We hope to see you there 9:00 PM till the wee small hours.
