Wild Frontier’s 36th Birthday

We held our 36th birthday bash on Saturday 21 February. Thirty six years! Good grief Jeff doesn’t look a day over 63, he must be using Grecian 2000.
The night was a success, thanks to the efforts of a hard working committee who did a great job with the food and tasteful hall decorations of balloons, basket balls, coloured lights and a large No 36. The theme was anything to do with 36, so some came in basket ball clobber; others had 36 on their footy shirts etc.
We had 8 squares dancing (no room for more on the floor) with a couple of squares sitting out. We were missing a few dancers because the SARDS dance date was apparently changed, which clashed with our event – oh the slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune.
Club callers were well represented; Graham, Noos, Colin, Ivan and Ian did a great job (Jeff was also quite good). It was nice to see so many dancers attending from other clubs, including some visitors from England.
Unfortunately our air-conditioning was inoperative (I understand museum staff are looking amongst their fossils for replacement parts) glad it was not too hot that night.
We are always looking for new members, the bloke below appears to be giving the matter serious consideration?
All in all a good time was had by those who attended.
