Wild Frontier Square Dance Club

Welcome to the blog of “Wild Frontier” & “Kannella Squares” Square Dance Clubs Inc. The two clubs have been operating 34 & 32 years respectively. We have danced in the same hall for 32 years; namely the Kensington Park Uniting Church Hall - Kensington Road, Leabrook,  South Australia.

Wild Frontier is a mainstream club that dances every Friday evening & feeds this club with fresh recruits from learners classes held every Thursday night. Caller Jeff Seidel started the club back in 1973, & the club has run continuously ever since. The club has been lucky to have such an enthusiastic & willing committee who has backed Jeff & the dancers in everything they do.

Kannella Squares started off as a “Plus” club dancing every Sunday night. We then moved to a Monday night, progressing to “Advanced 1+2″ so Tuesdays became Plus. Now on a Monday we have commenced to learn some of the “Challenge 1″ program.

Through this blog we hope to bring you some of the up coming events we intend to hold for the clubs. Some insight into the movements we dance, & understanding some of the definition that some people have trouble interpreting. Some of the interesting people we dance with & meet other callers & events, including interstate functions coming up on our calendar.
